two dreams with Prabháta Saḿgiita

March - April.2013

I had a dream with Prabháta Saḿgiita but most of it I forgot...

Many songs were there, maybe Baba also.

The last thing I remember was that one person was walking along a path and singing one very beautiful song. I recognised the Bengali words for 'hope' and 'see'. It was a soft, melodious song. I followed the person a little bit and tried to sing along with him.

The melody of that song still lingers on in my mind.

I was in South America maybe and was in the car with some Dadas. Someone then indicated the new football stadium that was being built and we went there to go and see it.

As we arrived, the place turned into some sort of big carousel that was going up into the sky. Then, we sat in it and it stared to turn as we went up. When we came down again or at some point during the journey, we halted and all set in a circle.

Some margiis were there and one sister started to sing Prabháta Saḿgiita. It was a little bit like she was giving a performance but she didn't know some songs properly and one song she asked if I could sing it. But I was not prepared and very shy, so I refused.

There were some flutes lying around in front of me also and the brother next to them suggested that at least I play the melody on the flute. And actually that's what I did very briefly as that sister sang the Prabháta Saḿgiita. But I felt that it was disturbing, so I stopped. But then the brother encouraged me to play again using some other flute. He said 'you can try this one, or this one, or this one'. These flutes all had some kind of unique speciality to them, at least in shape. As the brother said this, he also took one of the flutes and tried to play on it. But it seemed like he had no idea how to play it and was blowing the air into the holes where one is supposed to place ones fingers. However a sequence of beautiful notes came out. Then, he handed it to me but I was shy to play.

The performance soon ended and I took a guitar and played that last Prabháta Saḿgiita on it (just the first line) 'tumi kache thekeo dure go'. The guitar sounded very good and was strongly and rhythmically vibrating.

Then everyone got ready to leave and there was some chaos and slowly I awoke.
